1881 – The star bicycle.
The Star Bicycle was the high “bi” with the small wheel in front, the strange American machine, which surprised the cycling world in 1881 , but was improved in 1885 , because it did not comply.
The great American riders were using this machine in their games because they could push down the levers at the same time with both feet, avoiding a “dead point”.
The great American cyclist A. A. Zimmerman took advantage of the “Star” and the no less famous art cyclist Nic Kaufman.
In England, the machine came in 1883, when there were matches arranged between the famous amateur rider George Gatehouse and Prof. Fred Wood.
This machine was not popular in Europe
