1885 – The safety.
John Kemp Starley made a bicycle with a tubular frame and almost equal wheels and named him Rover in 1885. It was a thrill! The modern bicycle was created.
There has been much further developed and refined since then.
However, the principle of the cycle in 1885 is still today.
The Rover bike was compared with the penny-farthing, low to the ground.
This enhancement of the bike, made a ride a lot safer and also a lot easier.
So the real “safety bicycle” for everyday use.
This change to of bike was a big hit, not only for the convenience but also to the cost. These costs were cheaper than the tricycle of that time.
