monocoqueA monocoque is a designation for a frame of composite material (typically a carbonmat in epoxy resin) in a mold is made, whether or not in different scale and later glued parts.

Monocoque consists of “mono” (the Greek word for single) and “coque” (the French word for scale). It is a construction technique, whereby the supporting structure is formed by the scale, or the outer skin, without internal reinforcements.
A monocoque is light and rigid, however, the production is very laborious.
