On Saturday, August 27 a.s. finds a special race bike ride for women place, to raise money for the Hospice Nijkerk. Initiator of this trip is Gijsbert Bast, self fanatic racer. What began as a tentative idea has grown into a concrete plan. As many women on the pedals to ride a beautiful journey of 180 km. All participants search sponsoring for 1 euro per km. Thus, each participant will get 180 euros together for Hospice Nijkerk. Join this special tour and bike for charity.
Organizer Gijsbert Bast, residing in Bunschoten and member of Rev. Cycling Club VOEK Nijkerk: “We want as cycling club to show our social commitment through a sponsored event. All race cycling women from the region are invited to register and participate. ”
The tour includes the ‘Small round IJsselmeer’ and goes from Nijkerk, Amsterdam, Volendam, Hoorn, Enkhuizen, Lelystad and Zeewolde back to Nijkerk. The starting signal will be given at 7:30 pm. There will be cycled at a speed of 25 km per hour and twice an hour break.
At 17:30 the finish is in Nijkerk.
At this rate, both experienced and less experienced cyclists can properly complete the journey.
